My name is Katharina Round, my partner is Bruno and my son who was born in 1993 is Robin. We live in an old farmhouse in the middle of the Loire Valley 200 km South West of Paris (France).   We are located in the countryside surrounded by only fields and woods, so the dogs may enjoy some lovely hikes, the one down to the river is always their favorite and Robins too!

I am British but have always lived in France. I studied ceramics at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Métiers d’Art  in Paris and worked in the Manufacture de Sevres on their famous “Blue Glazes”,  but was soon eaten up by dog- shows and the sport of dogs, so never got around to get really involved with ceramics… My studies in sculpture and art certainly help me with a sharp eye for structure and balance.

Over the years I have devoted myself to only breeding Top Quality, healthy, happy and sound companions that I may share with my puppy owners, which I refer to as my “Family Circle”.

I chose to represent my website with Polar Bears for no other reason than; I have always admired the power and aloofness of polar bear and pure white Akita puppies remind me of polar bear cubs.
